Lezi Zhang

Lezi Zhang was born in 2005 and began to study piano at the age of 4. Driven by her great interest in music, she was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music Middle School in 2017 and started her professional study under Professor Dan Shao and Mr. Yao Lu, where she finished her high school studies. Currently, she studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock under the guidance of Professor Matthias Kirschnereit.

Lezi has won awards at several national and international competitions, including first prize at the 2019 Imola International Piano Competition in Italy, the first prize and the special prize at the 2024 Merci Maestro international piano competition and the second prize at the 2020 Xinghai Piano Competition in China. She made her debut at age 6 in Tianjin Concert Hall, and  since then she has performed in various concert halls including Jinwan Grand Theatre, Beijing Baisi Hall, Concert Hall of Walnut Hill School for the Arts (USA), Rocca Storzesca of Fondazione Accademia Internazionale di Imola (Italy), Teatro dell’Osservanza (Italy) BrusselsTown Hall and Katharinen Saal (Germany). She has participated in some music festivals, where she received masterclasses from Professors Pihsien Chen, Jin Ju, Gerrit Zitterbart, Bernd Goetzke, Stefano Fiuzzi, Robert Levin, Elder Nebolsin, Hung-Kuan Chen, Peter Ovtcharov, and so on. They gave Lezi high evaluation and professional help and also strengthened her dream of becoming the most sincere disseminator of classical music.
