Hello all -
We apologize for the tight turnaround on this - we were waiting on confirmation of details and only received them (and the deadline) this afternoon!
If you are interested in purchasing a meal plan for your stay at Art of the Piano, the deadline to do so is by Monday, June 3 at 9 am ET.
DETAILS
Dates the plan will be active: June 22 - July 7 (16 days)
Meals offered: Breakfast and Dinner
Cost: Breakfast only or Dinner only: $210.72 / Breakfast and Dinner: $421.44
Types of food offered: Click on the “menu” button towards the top of this page to see a sample menu.
Meal times:
Breakfast hours 7:30am - 9:30am
Dinner hours 4pm - 7pm
Other important things as you decide:
This is pre-paid and non-refundable
There will not be an opportunity after Monday’s cutoff to change your mind and purchase a meal plan. There is no flexibility in the cutoff whatsoever.
Dietary restrictions and allergies can be accommodated
There is a multitude of excellent restaurants within short walking distance of the conservatory, so take that into consideration when deciding if you want to include a pre-paid, non-refundable dinner option.
You CAN purchase the following a la carte from the SFCM cafe during mealtimes: espresso drinks, cold beverages or retail items
The meals are overseen by San Francisco chef Loretta Keller and can accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions and allergies. You will have the opportunity to tell us about your dietary needs/restrictions when purchasing the plan so that arrangements can be made for you. The cafeteria is in the bottom of the building where you’ll be living, having master classes and recitals; and where some of the practice rooms are. It will be a convenient and easy way to have delicious, healthy, locally-sourced food ready, when you need it. You also have the option of grabbing your meal and eating in common areas or your room if you wish.
The cost is $13.17/meal, which is significantly less than what you’d spend eating out in San Francisco.
OTHER PLACES TO GET FOOD:
There are multiple markets near the Bowes Center, including Whole Foods, The Market (limited selection, but only a few blocks away), Target, and more. Additionally, on Wednesdays and Saturdays (mornings) there is a farmer’s market a few blocks away near City Hall.
IMPORTANT: again you MUST order and pay for your meal plan no later than June 3, 2024 at 9 am ET. There is no flexibility in this cutoff date. If you change your mind after you arrive, it will be too late and you will not be able to opt in to a meal plan. You must order and pay for your meal plan in advance.
