Born into a musician family in Shenzhen, china. Ningjialu Liu started her musical journey at the age of 5 with her father’s enlightenment. At the age of 17, she made her concerto debut playing Schumann Concerto in A minor under the baton of conductor Qiyuan Zhu with the Sichuan Philharmonic Orchestra. At the same year, she was admitted to Oberlin conservatory of music with top scholarship, where she studied with Mr. Peter Takács. In 2013, she played Bach Goldberg Variation at Sichuan grand recital Hall. In 2020, she performed Florence Price Concerto with Texas Medical Center Orchestra under the baton of conductor Libi Lebel. In 2021, she was one of the concerto winners in pianoTexas and performed Saint-Saëns Concerto No. 2 with Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Miguel Harth-Bedoya.
She finished her MM in NEC under the guidance of Mr. Victor Rosenbaum. During her study at Boston, she has given several premieres of new music in collaboration with students in NEC’s composition department. Now, Lulu is pursuing her DMA at CCM under the guidance of Mr. Awadagin Pratt. This year, she won the school concerto competition and will be performing Florence Price Concerto with CCM orchestra. Beside her soloist career, she is also an artist in residence at Macau Youth Symphony Orchestra Music festival.
