KangHyun Kim, 16, is from South Korea.  He studies at Korea National University Studies Institute for those gifted in the Arts with Julius-Jeongwon Kim at Yewon School.

His accomplishments include:

2019: 1st International Tchaikovsky online Piano competition For Young Musicians, 5th Prize; 1st Kalaidos Musikhochschule Competition, First Prize 

2018: Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists; Korea Chopin Competition, First Prize

2017: X International Tchaikovsky Competition For Young Musicians, Semi-finalist; 25th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition (Poland), Distinction Award; Geon-uhoe Piano Competition, First Prize

2016: Gyeongju International Music Competition, First Prize;  Allianz Lang Lang Music Ambassador (1 of 10 selected world-wide); Performed with the Teatr Polski Warsaw Hall (Poland); 15th Ettlingen International For Young Pianist (Germany), Finalist 

2015: Han-kook Times Music Competition, First Prize; Eumak-Journal Competition, First Prize; Korea Beethoven Competition, First Prize. 

2014: Yook-Young Music Competition (Minister of Education Award), First Prize; Korea Liszt Competition, First Prize; Solo Recital of Kum-ho Prodigy Concert at the Kum-ho Art Hall; Solo Recital of Little Mozart concert at Mozart Hall
