Hexue Li was born in 1997. She is a sophomore at the New England Conservatory where she studies with Alexander Korsantia. Previously, she studied at the New England Conservatory prep school, Walnut Hill School for the Arts and The Affiliated High School of Shanghai Conservatory of Music in China.
She has participated in numerous competitions including: the 2015 Steinway Society of Massachusetts Piano Competition, Division 4, 2nd Prize; 2014 Steinway Society of Massachusetts Piano Competition, Honorary Mention, 2012; Instrumental Concerto Competition at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, 2nd Prize, 2010; The 3rd KAWAI Piano Competition of Asia in Shanghai, 3rd Prize, 2009; Steinway National Youth Piano Competition, East and Central China Division, 1st Prize; and 2009 TOYAMA Asian Youth Piano Competition, 2nd Prize.
She has received masterclass instruction from internationally acclaimed artists such as, Hung-Kuan Chen, Cong Fu, Robert McDonald, Jerome Lowenthal, among others.
