Eric Guo, a 17-year-old Toronto native, started piano at four and is currently studying with full scholarship in his 6th year at The Taylor Academy of The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada, under Prof. John O’Conor. He has participated in masterclasses with James Anagnoson, Emanuel Ax, Dang Thai Son, Robert McDonald, Anton Nel, Ronan O’Hora, and John Perry. He has performed in such prestigious venues as Merkin Hall (aired on WQXR in NYC), Menlo-Atherton Center in California, Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, live on 96.3FM Toronto’s Radio Station, Koerner Hall, Four Seasons Center, Maison des Arts, and the The White Rock Theatre in Hastings,UK. He has participated in the Frost Chopin Festival Academy in Miami, and Music@Menlo in California.

As a soloist he has performed with orchestras such as the Minnesota Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of UK, Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra of Russia, Drummondville Orchestra of Canada, Orchestra Toronto of Canada, and Oakville Orchestra of Canada.

Among his accolades in competitions are 2nd Prize in 2019 Fifth Canadian Chopin in Toronto,Canada: 3rd Prize in 2019 e-Piano Junior in Minnesota, U.S.; 3rd Place in 2019 Hastings Concerto Competition in UK; and 1st Prize in 2018 11th Moscow Chopin for Young Pianists in China. He was the only recipient of the 2018 Canadian Chopin Scholarship and was named one of the 2019 CBC 30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30.
