Turkish pianist Beyza Yazgan, studied her first year of her PhD with Prof. Alicia Paleta-Bugay at the Warsaw Chopin Academy of Music and completed her degree at the Istanbul / Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Conservatory with Prof. Hulya Tarcan. She won first prize at the International 2002 Edirne Young Musicians Competition, 2013 Success in Education Award-hosted by Koc Holding, 2018 Josef Fidelman Contemporary Music Performance Award and 8th Metropolitan International Piano Competition (NYC) in 2019. She performed several times as a soloist with the Mimar Sinan Youth Orchestra and performed around Turkey in important venues such as, Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall, Caddebostan Culture Center, Ataturk Concert Hall, and Fulya Performance Center. As a responsive musician for human concerns, Beyza also performed in benefit recitals to help children with cancer at Italian Consulate and for Syrian Refugees at the British Consulate of Istanbul. Besides classical music, she performed around Italy with her former band as a singer-songwriter.

Beyza attended masterclasses of world owned artists including, Gary Graffman, Oxana Yablonskaya, Richard Goode, Vladimir Feltsman, Jeffrey Swan, Rolf Plagge, Daria Rabotkina, Helena Mullova, and Solomon Mikowsky. She also participated in International Music Festivals such as, Madrid Torrelodones Music Festival, Forum Musikae, New York International Keyboard Festival (2017), Castelnuevo di Garfagnana International Academy of Music (2019) and selected as a young artist for the 2019 Art of the Piano Festival. In 2018 she graduated from the Mannes School of Music (NYC) with a “Professional Studies” degree under Prof. Yuri Kim with full scholarship by Koc Holding. Beyza performed at Weill Recital Hall/Carnegie Hall as a guest of Jeju International Music Competition, New York Electroacoustic Music Festival and Make Music New York. She currently lives in New York working as an assistant of Prof. Yuri Kim and accompanying at “Education Through Music”. In addition to her love of the piano, Beyza also draws illustrations, composes and loves improvising.
