Noah Waddell began playing the piano at the age of 7. Now 16, Noah has won over 20 state and national piano competitions. In 2014, he won his first international competition in Fort Collins, Colorado. He currently donates some of his time and talents weekly to “The Arts in Healthcare Program” at Lee Memorial Hospital. “Noah’s Concert for the Kids” at the Big Arts on Sanibel Island raised over $30,000 for the new Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. He has also appeared on the PBS TV Show, “Curious Kids,” the Christian Television Network, and on NPR’s “From the Top. ”
At age 12, Noah made his orchestral debut as a soloist with the Tampa Bay Symphony. Since then, Noah has performed with the Port Charlotte Concert Band, the Coral Gables Chamber Symphony, the Gulf Coast Symphony, and twice was the featured soloist under the baton of Nir Kabaretti with the Southwest Florida Symphony. He is the first pianist in this region to play the Clara Schumann Piano Concerto in A minor. Noah is a 10th grader at Crosspointe Academy and enjoys a variety of activities, including fishing, and pickleball. He also loves his two Havanese dogs, Bach and Mozart.
