Inyoung Kim graduated from Sunhwa Arts School and Sunhwa Arts High school where she had won the excellence performance awards for six years in succession. She also studied at Seoul National University in South Korea with Jong Hwa Park, graduating ‘cum laude’ with a full scholarship from Seoul National University as well as funding from Sungnam City Association. Afterwards she moved to the US to continue her musical education with Alexander Korsantia at the New England Conservatory in Boston where she received her Master of Music degree and was placed on the Dean’s List. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Awadagin Pratt.
Kim has won top prizes at many competitions in the United States: Dallas International Piano Competition, Texas State International Piano Competition, New England Conservatory Honors Competition, Ohio International Piano Duo Competition, and Bradshaw&Buono International Competition. Additionally, she has won numerous competitions in Korea such as the KookMin Journal Competition, Teenager Piano Competition, Music Journal Competition, SunHwa Arts Chamber Competition, Korea Piano Duo Association Competition, Seoul Music Competition, Sejong Music Competition, Music Educational Journal Competition, and SamIk Piano Competition.
